Torizar is a small, yet powerful bird, with black feathers and electric blue eyes. He has an elegant frame and a sharp, dull yellow beak that brings out the color of his eyes. He has a bright red tongue.


Personality:

Likes: Being inside storms, looking at storms, chasing tornadoes, charting the weather, studying the weather, doing extreme things to do with dangerous weather like flying through lightning storms or battling hurricanes, star gazing, flying
Dislikes: Going several days or weeks without lightning, small spaces, being unable to stretch his wings
Fears: Being immobilized, small spaces, cages, having his beak tied, having his powers stolen or sapped from him, being stuck on the ground

Torizar, believing he is the last of his kind due to not seeing another Thunder Bird all his life, is a lonely and angry beast. He is solemn, and never smiles. He does not laugh, having no humor. He is annoyingly persistent and unbelievably sarcastic. He is extremely patient, and relies on his instincts more then anything else.

Torizar's reasoning and ability to speak well has calmed many others, but this has cost him several friendships due to his old-school way of looking at life, and his 'boring' study of weather all day. Behind the curtains, however, is when Torizar takes wing and becomes the adventurous feathered friend he really is.

Brave and bold, Torizar becomes one with the storm and in sync with the hurricane, darting above and between the storm clouds as if it were nothing. He will gush about weather all day.

Once you get to know him, Torizar becomes friendly and easy going, as well as eccentric. He likes to state the obvious.

History (At least a 5 sentence paragraph!):

Torizar hatched alone, and thus has never had any contact with another Thunder Bird. Confused and alone, he relied on instinct to guide his way, taking to the air within a few hours. His wings were strong, carrying him for miles as he aimlessly wandered the lands, growing hungrier and more tired each day.

Until one day, he collapsed to the ground, where an aging male dragon found him. Taking pity on the young bird, he took him in, and raised him as his own.

When Torizar was six years old, he learned to use his magic. When he came of age, he left the old male whom he had called father for the first thirteen years of his life in search of another of his kind, perhaps a mate. He never found one, instead finding Elesmera, where he made his home on one of the islands in the SeaScale territory, where storms occur. There, Torizar gains strength every day, practicing his sea-based way of life until the day he finds a purpose again, living his lonely existence until that day comes.

Strengths:

Wits: Torizar is very clever, able to think on his feet easy enough. He can figure out riddles and puzzles with ease even if they're exceptionally difficult. He 'thinks outside the box.' Torizar is also a great mathematician, able to do complex sums inside his head. He uses this to chart the strength and density of storm clouds, hurricanes, and tornadoes.

Speed: Torizar is exceptionally agile, able to go at speeds of seventy miles an hour if he works his wings off. His average pace is about forty miles an hour. He can twist, barrel roll, spiral, swoop, anything you can imagine, weaving through trees and hedges and pulling up at extremely low heights as if he'd been doing it all his life -which he, in fairness, has-.

Weaknesses:

Strength: Torizar has very little physical strength, not able to hold anything below 70 KGS.

Hollow Bones: Torizar is very brittle, and can do serious damage to himself easily. Breaking bones is very easy to happen to him if a larger animal hits him hard enough. Torizar is exceptionally weak to hits and wounds from other, larger creatures such as dragons.

Color Blind: Torizar is color blind, meaning he can only see greys and dull blues. This means he finds it very hard when it comes to solving color puzzles.

Abilities (Magic abilities):

BackFire: If another creature uses electricity, lightning, or even wind in some cases as their magical element, Torizar can channel his energy to fire their beams, conjured spears, whatever, right back at them. He does this by channeling his own, similar energy into the magical attack, which fuses his mind with the magic and enables him to control it for the very short amount of time. This is a very delicate move and requires his complete concentration, which means he has to take his attention off his enemy very briefly. However, he can only do this so many times before he begins to tire, as the amount of magic needed to fuse with the weapons can be extraordinary, and he has to use it wisely. More powerful attacks require more concentration and far more precision and accuracy, and if the ability is powerful enough, sometimes even all of Torizar's energy won't be enough.

Lightning Beam: Torizar can shoot crackling energy bolts from his beak, which forms as a sparking ball of lightning inside his beak and fires at his opponent whenever he wishes it to. He channels the energy through the nerves in his brain that store his power, meaning every time he fires, he loses more and more energy.

Shock: When Torizar coats himself in lightning, touching him will shock a creature. Depending on the size and power of the creature, the pain can vary from a small sting to a full blown electric shock. It also depends on how much energy and magic Torizar is using to channel the bolts and have them stick to his body.

Wing Bolt: If Torizar, while coated in lightning, claps his wings in front of him, it will automatically channel the energy into a certain spot in his wings and shoot it from the primary feathers, having the same amount of power as his beak, just larger and able to hit a larger enemy, as well as last longer. This can last for about thirty seconds before Torizar has to stop or else he'll pass out.


Storm Immunity: Torizar is generally immune to electric shocks and anything lightning related, only feeling a slight buzz in his veins and brain. He can absorb these bursts of electricity for energy, storing it in his brain for later use. The more electricity he has running inside his brain, the more mentally active, stronger and faster he is. If he does nothing, the maximum amount of time Torizar will last on a large amount of electricity will be four months. If he barely does anything.


Abilities (Physical abilities):

Torizar can push things around that are below 70 KGS. He can fly at speeds, if he puts maximum effort into each flap, of about eighty miles an hour if he tries his absolute hardest.

Torizar can generally withstand attacks to do with lightning or electricity as long as they are more elemental based then concentrated magic based.
