| Hidden in the wild lands, a little too close for comfort to the Shadows territory for most dragons, was a huge lake, bright and blue. The sun smiled down on the vast body of water, casting rays into the blue substance, illuminating the water beneath a vivid blue.
Deep beneath the surface, Neptune was waiting, drifting aimlessly on the slow currents of water, awaiting for any prey to come by.
A few moments later, an opportunity made it's sorry appearance.
A seal, quite large for it's species, chased a fish near the surface, the sound of it's fins flapping in the water exciting Neptune, the hunter in him eager to feed.
Neptune waited, red eyes trained on the seal above him, and then he pushed off the current with his fins, a skill that took years to learn and perfect. He darted through the water, ascending with incredibly speed. The seal didn't know what was happening until Neptune slammed into it, clamping down on it's helpless body as he leapt from the water, doing a barrel roll as he stretched out his wings, before slamming back into the water with a splash.
If anyone had been watching, it would have lasted about three seconds, and then the water would have been still again, as if the carnage had never taken place. Bubbles sprouted and popped, but apart from that, no evidence of the kill was present.
That is, blood started trickling to the surface near the sandy shore. If one had been near or in the shallows, they woild begin to notice a trail of blood floating in from below the steep underwater cliffs that seperated the beach from the actual lake. The blood was ascending from just in front of the cliffs.
Around seventy feet down, was Neptune, feasting on his kill silently while he kept an eye on the 'sky.' He ripped into the flesh with a hunger driven by a predator's need to hunt. If one had peered into the water with their snout almost touching the water, and if the light shone a certain way, they could make out the eerie outline of the huge water dragon feasting on his prey.

| Arkhor was watching the sea dragon from afar, interested to see what the large SeaScale mainly did during the day. Thinking of ways to approach him, he couldn't think of anything that was suitable and safe for both of them. Sighing to himself he decided to just disguise himself interested to see his reaction. Just walking in his usual frame along the sandy beach he spoke out softly "Hey.. I'm not sure if I've seen you before? You come here often to hunt?" tilting his head slightly as what seemed to Neptune a normal SeaScale look over towards him. | |

| Suddenly, Neptune sensed.. a being. This was unusual for him, as he did not smell whatever it was or see it. Lifting his snout from his mauled prey, he glanced around. No seals, no fish, nothing. But he knew something was there.
Abandoning his kill for the moment, Neptune rose from the depths and surfaced, taking in a breath as he reached the surface of the lough. It was then he heard a voice.
Turning his head, Neptune locked eyes with a rather handsome sea dragon with orange eyes. His words registered in the SeaScale's head, and Neptune responded as he practically glided through the water to the shore.
"Yes. It is my favourite hunting spot." His words were accompanied by a barely audible splash as he leapt from the water and onto the shore. Turning his head, his tail swept across the sand back into the water as he fixed his eerie red eyes on the dragon in front of him.
"Neptune," he introduced himself after a moment of him studying the dragon's face. "Neptune is my name."He then gestured to the dragon with a front arm. "And you are?" he asked, tilting his head. His eyes held an eerie indifference to the dragon's presense here, accompanied by a slight wariness. His eyes held confidence. Calmness. Neptune's sinister expressions and appearance often frightened dragons off, so he was surprised this one stayed.

| Smiling softly towards Neptune he replied gazing towards him, "I'm Ark, nice to meet you Neptune. Its certainly a good spot for hunting." sighing slightly as he continued "I'm new to the area and I was wondering if you could help me find my way.." frowning slightly as he looked lost, yet of course Ark wanted to see if the SeaScale would provide kindness like a sort of test. | |

| Ark? Where had he heard that name before? Neptune tilted his head very slightly, a very subtle indication of his slight recognition of the name, before he inclined it slightly in acknowledgement, not taking his crimson eyes off the dragon in front of him. Everything was about body language when it came to deciphering Neptune, so if this dragon wanted to know what he was thinking, he'd have to either be REALLY good at figuring out body language or a mind reader.
Glancing out to the lough at Ark's words, Neptune nodded, giving a soft 'hmm,' of agreement, tail flicking slightly. His eyes lit up for a moment as he gazed at the water, a longing to feel the water around him clear in his red irises. "Indeed. Those waters are full of seals and fish. That is," he turned his head back around, shifting his gaze to Ark once again, locking eyes with him.
"If you know where to look."
There was nothing sinister or threatening in that sentence, just many took it as weird or creepy. It was how he spoke. So he was curious to see this dragon's reaction to the way his tone worked. This dragon.. intrigued him. He drew the SeaScale to him. His eyes could never leave him for more then a moment.
At the dragon's words, Neptune tilted his head to the left, studying him for a moment, but that only lasted for about a split second before he replied.
"Of course," He said, rising his front arms off the ground a few inches as he stretched his wings a small bit, straightening his head before tilting it the other way. "Where do you want to go?" he asked, tail flicking upwards, the blades sticking out now vertical, indicating he was willing to fly, which meant he was willing to escort Ark there if he needed it. Neptune was never one to openly say anything, he spoke with his eyes and body language. He was quiet in voice and silent on the water, yet incredibly vocal in body language if you knew how to read it. Many couldn't, which was what made him seem 'creepy,' to most.

| "I was looking for the capitol... I lost my way sadly.. since I live on the outskirts.." frowning slightly as he lowered his look, "Its kinda... embarrassing..I know its silly.." sighing as he returned his look towards him. Keeping quiet as he waited for a response, his eyes observing him as he watched his body. | |

| "The capitol?" Neptune tilted his head for a moment, brow furrowing slightly in concentration. After a moment, the expression lifted and was replaced by his normal, yet almost sinister expression.
"That way," He said, pointing with his nose to the north-west. "I was never trained that well in my geography lessons," He said as he shifted his gaze back to Ark's face. "But I'm sure it's that way."
Stepping back to give the dragon in front of him some wing room, Neptune stood up a little more as he stretched his wings, the colour of them reminding one of the night sea. He glanced at his left wing, before he raised his eyes to Ark. He flapped his wings as he leapt into the air, spraying sand everywhere.
He peered down at Ark, studying him for a moment. Where had he seen him before?
Dismissing the thought from his mind, Neptune smirked lightly. "Keep up if you can," he said, a bit of competitiveness coming into his red eyes. Hovering, he twisted in the air so he was facing north-west.
Lashing his tail, Neptune smirked as he awaited the dragon to come up next to him."How fast can you go?" he asked after a moment of silence from him.

| Raising his brow towards Neptune as he jumped into the air, quickly following suit with a swish of his tail he blasted his wings against the sand. Within moments he was close to Neptune as he replied "Fairly fast.. don't worry I will keep up" smiling slightly as he was pleased to see the dragon helping him, in a way he had already passed the test. Still he wanted to find out more, maybe revealing himself later yet he played it safe. | |

| For the first time since Ark met him, Neptune grinned.
"We'll see," he teased lightly, before taking off.
He zoomed over the lake, beating his wings in such a way it helped him to accelerate, bringing him closer and closer to his top speed. He glanced at Ark and laughed, before he went even faster. Glancing down, he saw the water zooming by him, and his own reflection bending and dipping with the waves. Letting his front arm hang loose, he dangled his claws in the water while he slowed down a bit, glancing around him as the end of the lake grew closer and closer.
The capitol wasn't too far even at a slow pace, but at this speed? They'd be there in no time at all.

| Signing Off For A Little While | Fri Feb 03, 2017 3:10 pm by Astaria | So.. How do I put this.
I'm taking a break from the internet.
I won't go into too much detail here, as this is a public post and every Tom, Sam Hill and Harry can read it, whether they are from Untamed Skies or not, this is just to tell everyone here that I won't be online for a bit. So to any of the members here, unfortunately I cannot answer your questions about the site, you'll have to ask …
